LifePrime researches purchases and decisions where the answer isn’t obvious and where getting it wrong can cost real money, time or aggravation.
Should you replace old windows or fix the drafts another way? How much do you have to spend at a warehouse club before the membership pays for itself? When does an extended warranty make sense? Is the expensive version of a product substantially better, or simply more expensive?
Those are LifePrime questions.
How we approach a decision
Most buying advice starts with products. LifePrime tries to start with the decision. Before comparing models or brands, we ask what problem someone is trying to solve. Then we look at the available options, including doing nothing, repairing what you own or spending the money somewhere else.
Price matters, but sticker price is rarely the whole story. We may consider operating costs, maintenance, expected lifespan, financing, resale value, convenience and the value of the time involved.
Who LifePrime is for
LifePrime is for people who would rather make a considered decision than discover six months later that they paid for something they didn’t need.
You don’t have to optimize every purchase. Neither do we. We concentrate on decisions where a little research can make a meaningful difference.
